Dungeons on a Dime answers those problems with easy to understand, thrilling adventures designed to highlight different learning moments, both for players and GMs. The majority of the content is system agnostic, allowing it to be used across many roleplaying systems. Some parts refer to the 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons ruleset, as the free rules from Wizards of the Coast are the most accessible for new players.

DOAD is a new magazine, written and printed locally in Edinburgh. Itís designed to be an entry level point for new game masters wanting to run their first roleplaying game. Each issue is comprised of a self-contained story, full with rich characters, scenarios, resources to play with, as well as tips and tricks about how to get in top character and improvise. The stories inside are written to be open ended, prompting game masters to think of the consequences of playersí actions instead of pushing them to railroad towards pre-set endings. Accompanying the main book are custom maps, paper miniatures and handouts to help immerse players in the game. All issues are handprinted using Risograph techniques in Leith, Scotland, and use environmentally friendly inks printed onto recycled paper.
DOADís content is mostly system neutral, as it explores roleplaying and character motivations more than specific rules and tactics. However, there are references to the 5th edition ruleset of Dungeons and Dragons so that it can neatly support players using the free Basic Rules online, or who have come from Adventure League games or who have a Starter Kit of their own.
