In the Mesolithic period, the Middle Stone Age, people formed tribes for the first time and divided up tasks, such as hunting and building, among themselves. This not only ensured their survival, but also gave rise to the first settlements. In Mesos, players found their own tribes by recruiting new members who each take on specific tasks. By choosing the right people, they prepare themselves for the events that await them during the three ages of the game.
The game concept of Mesos is simple at its core: those who decide to take their turn early can secure the most valuable cards, while those who take their turn later can receive multiple tribe members, but with fewer choices available. Round after round, the players must decide which strategy to pursue, as cards are chosen from an open display. If you are not paying attention, you could lose an essential tribe member to another player who takes action quickly. Only the tribe that is best positioned and prepared for the inevitable events will secure the greatest fame and honour.
